LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY:

Saber warrants the stainless steel all fabricated stainless steel components (excluding cooking grates and burners), to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for the lifetime of the product.

 

Saber’s Limited Lifetime Warranty covers the structural integrity of the exterior and interior body parts, firebox, and lid.  Should structural deterioration occur to the degree of non performance, the part(s) will be replaced, free of charge to the consumer for installation.  Costs associated with the installation of replacement warranty parts is not covered by this limited lifetime warranty and is the sole responsibility of the owner. 

 

This warranty excludes discoloration, surface scratches, weather and atmospheric related staining, and minor surface rust and oxidation which are normal conditions and to be expected with any outdoor product.

 

TEN YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY: Saber warrants the stainless steel burners to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for a period of ten (10) years from the original date of purchase. The actual part will be replaced, free of charge.

 

FIVE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY: Saber warrants the stainless steel cooking grates to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for a period of five (5) years from the original date of purchase. The part will be replaced free of charge.

 

TWO YEAR FULL WARRANTY: Saber warrants all other parts not specifically mentioned above, to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for a period of two (2) years from the original date of purchase. Saber will replace the part which fail or is found to be defective during the warranty period, at no cost to the original purchaser.

 

Owner shall be responsible for proper installation, providing normal care and maintenance, and providing proof of purchase upon request.

 

Saber reserves the right, PRIOR to shipping warranty replacement parts, to require the part in question be returned for inspection and analysis.   Requested parts should be returned to Saber, freight pre-paid by the consumer.

 

WARRANTY LIMITATIONS & EXCLUSIONS

 

This warranty excludes units purchased for use in all types of commercial and or community use locations such as restaurants, hotels, catering operations food service establishments, condominium/apartment complexes, rental properties, and to products with altered or removed serial numbers.

 

This warranty shall apply ONLY to the products purchased and located in the continental United States and Canada.

 

The warranty coverage begins on the original date of purchase and proof of date of purchase is required for warranty service.  Please register your product and retain your original sales receipt.

 

In order to activate the warranty, we require that you send in the attached warranty registration card or register your product online. 

 

This warranty applies only to the original grill owner and cannot/may not be transferred.

 

This warranty does not apply to damages resulting from negligence, alteration, misuse, abuse, accident, natural disaster, loss of electrical power to the product for any reason, improper installation or improper operation, unauthorized adjustments or calibrations, dings, dents, scratches, or damages due to harsh cleaning chemicals.

 

Saber shall not be liable for incidental, consequential, special or contingent damages resulting from its breach of this written warranty or any implied warranty.

 

In the event of any warranty replacement, all removal, replacement and installation are the responsibility of the grill owner.

 

Saber reserves the right to replace any defective product with a product equal in value to the original purchase price.  Warranty repair or replacement is at the sole discretion of Saber.

 

Dealers and Distributors may not, under any circumstances, adjust, alter or extend the conditions and terms of the original warranty.

 

Your Saber warranty does not cover the following:

 

•  Labor charges related to installation or set-up, diagnosis of a problem, or repairs.  

•  Normal recommended routine maintenance and care.

•  Damage resulting from accident, alteration, misuse, abuse, hostile environments, improper installation, or installation not in accordance with local, state and federal codes and regulations.

•  The use of unauthorized or “universal” parts.

•  Damage or corrosion caused by lack of maintenance, neglect in following the manufacturer’s care and usage instructions, grease fires, animals and insects.

•  Any damage resulting from the commercial and or community use of this product.

•  Retail Display models are generally sold “AS IS.”  If you have purchased a display model, please be advised  that it is sold “AS IS” and that it is subject to the following warranty exclusions:

  • Any exterior or cosmetic damage is non-warrantable.
  • Any missing components will be replaced at the consumer’s sole expense.

They were the reason we bought this grill in the first place. What a true pleasure it is to produce beautifully grilled food on it that amazes people every time. However, the reason I am posting this review is to point out you are buying more than an amazing grill…..you are buying the support of an amazing company. All too often in today’s world, customer service sadly ends virtually at the time of purchase. I recently had the need to contact Saber support. Their representative (Michelle) was pleasant, knowledgeable, and extremely accommodating in handling our issues. Needless to say, she made my day! I am confident that I am not alone in experiencing this level of support from Saber. There are a number of high end grills out there. Saber’s amazing approach to customer service should clearly make one confident in purchasing a Saber Grill. I’m seriously glad we did!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome unit_ No flame Ups! I have had a couple high end BBQ's. This Saber Elite has served well through all Canadian seasons for the past 5 years. A little rust out is occurring on the firebox heat shield that are a thin metal insert between the fireboxes and the grease tray. The fact I burn natural gas and not propane has allowed the fireboxes and grills to stay intact with no rusting. Well worth the money I spent. The advertised no flame up is true and the reason I purchased.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beautiful Grill- Rusts out -warranty no help I purchased this grill 7 years ago the emitters have rusted out and heat shields disintegrated the burner boxes have holes and the interior firebox that supports the burner boxes is partly rusted away. The dealer said Saber refused to warranty the firebox. It was supposed to have a lifetime warranty on the firebox. The other components were 5 years. It will cost more than a new one to repair. Lots of cheaper grills that will get many more years of trouble free use

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great cooking grill but doesn’t last due to rust Do not spend your money on this Rust bucket. The internal firebox is made of porcelain coated steel which will rust out on you. The outside stainless is good quality and won’t rust, but it is still useless when the inside rusts out. My control panel rusted off the front of the grill. It will cost as much to fix as it does to buy a new one. Great planned obsolescence by the designers of this grill. That said, it cooks great, until it rusts out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great grill until the rust takes over Loved this grill, had the rotiserie, cooked lots of beer can chicken, flank steak, burgers you name it. Even cooking temperatures. Too easy to turn gas knobs on, when removing or setting the cover. Lost a couple tanks of gas this way. Also, would be nice to have a gas tank fill gauge, to avoid empty tanks in the middle of a cook out. Cooking box is not stainless, rusted out after 4-5 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Grill !!!!!!!!! I have used my Saber GRILL for over 5 years now with no problems. Sure the temp gauges are useless but I don't use them, and the casters were not the best, but in every other way this grill is fantastic! I have never had a flare up despite all I pile on the grill (unlike my prior grill that torched a prime rib roast and other things, had to keep a spray bottle ready to put out flames). It did not take long to become familiar with how to cook on it and it is so versatile I am still learning things I can do with it. I love it. I have this and a ceramic Kamado style BBQ and between the two everything is covered. It is so nice to have a quality well built grill that works so well, I do not regret this purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love grilling on it but costly to maintain Today’s date: 6/8/18 Purchased: 5/23/2014 Model: SS500 Live in: Kansas City Bottom line: I love cooking on it but after 4 years the heat shields have rusted out and fell from position and other internal parts (firebox, burner boxes) have rusted and will not last another year. Saber has covered these parts under warranty without question or cost to me to the tune of $976.95 for a grill that initially cost $1500.00. These parts are ceramic coated steel and under intense heat. I keep it covered and don’t let it sit out in the weather (it did get rained on a time or two) so I expect these parts to fail again but after the warranty period is over. The rest of the grill is solid as a rock but worthless and costly to maintain if the cooking mechanisms fail every 4-5 years. Pros: • Inferred cooking technology is outstanding • Gets evenly hot and fast • No flare ups even when cooking bacon directly on the grates • 304 stainless parts will last a lifetime • Solid build (outside of the above mentions parts) • Works well in the dead of winter and on windy days • Smoker pellets/wood chips directly on the grate for smoke • Exceptional customer service Cons: • Internal parts (heat shields, firebox, burner boxes) are rusting, failing and EXPENSIVE to replace. • Rain is funneled into the grease tray which drains into the frame and into the cabinet making a mess. • Side burner does make complete circle leaving a cold spot between the 5 o’clock - 7 o’clock position. • Temperature gauges have failed. Either the needle free falls or varies 200+/- from one to another. Saber sent me a 3rd set this winter but I haven’t installed them yet. • Saber grill cover (stored in the shade) started wicking water leaving the grill wet and the grease tray full of water after every rain or snow melt. Saber replaced it free of charge less than a few years ago and so far so good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rusts I purchased the 500 when it first came out and the grill has been fantastic however, the firebox isn't SS, so after it's rusted now and falling apart. the "Elite" wasn't out when I purchased this so it was the only option at the time. It's great to have 304SS everywhere but it's useless when the firebox rusts and falls apart. As far as I know there isn't anyway to swap it out. If so, I'm all ears.
