Roasted Yukon Gold Potatoes

Roasted Yukon gold potatoes is a perfect side for any meal or gathering. Try grilling this simple and easy recipe with turkey, ham or steak.

Potatoes are an easy side dish for just about any meal. You can bake, grill, fry or mash them. You can cook potatoes plain, buttered or loaded. Potatoes are just a hardy and filling side dish. So, it only makes sense to put them on the table for holiday meals and everyday dinners.

When you think of roasted potatoes, you may think of oven-baked potatoes first, but we’re roasting on the grill with a SABER® stainless steel griddle. The griddle is easy to clean and convenient for grilling delicate foods and/or smaller foods.

To make these roasted Yukon gold potatoes, you only need just a few ingredients – potatoes, seasoning, oil and butter.

Note: If you can’t find Yukon gold potatoes, try new potatoes or red potatoes, instead.


  • About 1-2 pounds Yukon golden potatoes
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Italian seasoning (to taste)
  • 2-3 Tablespoons butter


  • Slice the potatoes.
  • Par-boil potatoes on the side burner until soft. Remove from grill and drain the hot water.
  • In a mixing bowl, drizzle potatoes with olive oil and season with salt, pepper and Italian seasoning
  • Add about 2-3 tablespoons softened butter to the potatoes and mix thoroughly.
  • Put the griddle on top of your grate. Preheat grill on high for about 10-15 minutes and then reduce to low.
  • Add butter or olive oil to the SABER® griddle.
  • Cook potatoes on the griddle until golden brown and crispy.
