Carrots and holiday dinners go hand in hand. And these Grilled Honey Balsamic Glazed Carrots are a perfect addition to your Easter or spring dinner menu!
Light and full of flavor, carrots are a healthy addition to any meal and make a great snack on their own. They give your table a pop of color and are simple to prepare. Grilling carrots is easy and you just can’t beat the char your grill can add!
Carrots come in a variety of sizes, and when grilling them you want to reach for the larger ones. You can grill carrots whole or cut them as I did here.
And you don’t have to stick with orange carrots. You can grill any variety of carrots for a sophisticated look that’s just as tasty as orange carrots!
Note: Purple carrots have a sweet flavor with a hint of pepper. Red carrots taste the most like orange carrots but are a little sweeter. White have a mild, sweet flavor. Golden carrots are sweeter than most carrot varieties and have an earthy flavor.
To make Grilled Honey Balsamic Carrots, all you need are large whole carrots and a few ingredients for the glaze…That’s it! I recommend that you blanch or microwave your carrots for a few minutes to help them along. Or you can cook them on the grill the whole time on indirect heat, watching them to ensure they don’t dry out.. All depends on how much time you have.
Grilling vegetables is a game changer. The grill takes vegetables to a level that you just can’t achieve otherwise.
