2 Gala apples (cut in half through the stem, with the seeds and core scooped out)
1 Tablespoon rice wine vinegar
3 Tablespoons honey
2 oz. crumbled bleu cheese
Additional honey for drizzling
Salad greens tossed with balsamic vinaigrette
Preheat Saber® grill to high heat
In a bowl, combine honey and rice wine vinegar. Add the apples and stir to coat the apples in the mixture. Let marinade for 30 minutes.
Remove the apples and place face-down on the grill. When the apples have developed nice grill marks, flip them and reduce the heat. Baste them with the remaining honey/vinegar mixture. Continue cooking until the apples are somewhat softened, but still hold their shape (about 5 more minutes).
Fill the apples with the bleu cheese and place them on the warming rack. Continue to cook until the cheese has softened.
